Two of the school building. Also, when picking up children after dismissal, please refrain from parking and leaving your car on Sleepy Hollow Road directly in front of the school, as it blocks Kiss and Ride traffic. Thank you for your cooperation!
March 2nd the SHES PTA will host a Family Fun night in the gym! Come visit the students' art gallery in the cafeteria. There will also be a movie night in the gym. Please plan on staying with your children for the movie. Save the date, more details coming.

Why join? Joining the SHES PTA is a great way for parents to take an active role in their children’s school, and for teachers to further support the programs which help their students. In addition, although PTA members are not required to volunteer for the PTA, the many members who do so --- even for just one activity -- find great satisfaction knowing they have helped out with a program, provided input into planning for the future, helped decide how to spend funds, or determining which activities to sponsor. Your membership in the PTA helps produce SHES programs and opportunities such as:
Back to School picnic Dolphin Academy Cultural Arts Assemblies Field Trips
Science Fair Family Fun Events Spring Variety Show Student Directory
Partners in Print Reflections Arts program Teacher-Staff Appreciation Technology purchases
...and much more, such as setting aside funds for the anticipated replacement of the SHES playground.
Who can join? Membership is open to adults who believe in the mission and purpose of the national PTA, namely, “To make every child’s potential a reality by engaging and empowering families and communities to advocate for all children” (http://www.pta.org/1162.asp). Members are parents, teachers, staff, and other significant adults in the lives of our child/ren. We hope that at least one adult from each SHES family will consider becoming a member. SHES has a strong tradition of membership from its parents, teachers and staff.
How do you join? For each $8 SHES membership, $5.25 stays at our school and we are required to remit $2.75 as dues to the National ($1.75) and State ($1) PTAs. Please complete and return this form.
