Welcome to the SHES PTA Discussion Board.

As a part of communicating between members of the Sleepy Hollow Elementary School PTA, this web site hosts a discussion list.
There are three ways to interact with the discussion list.

  1. You can subscribe so that you can view all messages on the web site, freely post your own messages.
  2. You can send messages without a subscription to share information, although you will not receive other people’s posts.
  3. Reply to messages via the discussion list for all can share.
All posts are moderated—meaning that a list administrator will review the post before it is added to the list. Therefore, posts should be concerned with the school and the PTA. We welcome everyone's participation but ask that the following rules be followed:
  • Don't challenge or attack others. The discussions on the lists are meant to stimulate conversation not to create contention. Let others have their say, just as you may.
  • Don't post commercial messages. Contact people directly with product and service information if you believe it would help them.
  • Use caution when discussing products. Information posted on the lists is available for all to see, and comments are subject to libel, slander, and antitrust laws.
  • All defamatory, abusive, profane, threatening, offensive, or illegal materials are strictly prohibited. Do not post anything that you would not want the world to see or that you would not want anyone to know came from you.

Finally, about etiquette:

  • Include your name in all messages.
  • State concisely and clearly the topic of your comments in the subject line. This allows members to respond more appropriately to your posting and makes it easier for members to search the archives by subject.
